Biological Resource Centre

The UCD-SVHG Biological Resource Centre is a state of the art facility for the processing, storage and quality control of biological samples collected for research. We provide a comprehensive infrastructure for biological specimen collection and storage including:

Dedicated biobank rooms with 24/7 temperature monitoring and control
Twenty -80’C and four -20’C sample freezers
Large liquid nitrogen storage capacity
Laboratory Information Management system (LIM’s)
Unique barcode and label system for reliable sample tracking
