Pre-hospital care

St. Vincent’s University Hospital Emergency Department has a robust history of engagement in pre-hospital care. Our consultants actively provide emergency care in sporting contexts and support ambulance services.

We have strong links with the UCD Centre for Emergency Medical Science and frequently host paramedic and advanced paramedic students for clinical placements.

Medical staff and students interested in gaining experience in pre-hospital care can participate in clinical placements, research, and audits in this specialised field.
