Visiting guidelines
At St. Vincent’s University Hospital, our visiting guidelines are regularly reviewed to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. Your cooperation and support are greatly appreciated.
Please adhere to the following visiting guidelines at St. Vincent’s University Hospital:
- Visiting times: 14:00 to 16:00 and 18:30 to 20:30 daily.
- Duration: Visits are limited to 30 minutes.
- Mask policy: In certain departments, staff may request you to wear a mask for everyone’s safety.
- COVID-19 symptoms: Please refrain from visiting if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
- Children: Children under 12 years (excluding the patient’s own children by prior arrangement) should not visit. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times while in the hospital.
Security information
St. Vincent’s University Hospital does not accept responsibility for patient property. Patients are advised to pass all unnecessary cash, jewellery and clothing to their next of kin immediately upon admission for safekeeping. All personal property retained by patients remains their sole responsibility and the hospital cannot be held liable for any loss or damage however caused.
Infection control policy
Effective hand hygiene is crucial in preventing the transmission of infections. Visitors are encouraged to use the alcohol gels provided throughout the hospital before and after visiting patients. Patients are reminded to practice regular hand hygiene, especially before eating. Hand hygiene information leaflets are accessible throughout the hospital for patients and visitors.
No smoking/vaping policy
St. Vincent’s University Hospital maintains a strict no-smoking/vaping policy across its premises. Smoking/vaping is prohibited inside the hospital and on hospital grounds to safeguard the health and well-being of patients, staff and visitors alike.
